We wanted to clear a few things up for Fall Seminar- the BUSES from JCC Kaiserman on the mainline and Adath Jeshrun synagogue in Elkins Park locations will be leaving at 5:00 pm in order to make it to Camp Galil before Shabbat begins. 5:00 pm is the absolute earliest the bus companies can provide service for us.

Again: the bus in Elkins Park is leaving from ADATH JESHRUN SYNAGOGUE not Knesset Israel.

1. This year, Camp Na'aleh is joining Galil for our annual Fall Seminar!

As many of you know, Camp Galil is part of an international youth organization, Habonim Dror, which has seven machanot (camps) around the US and Canada. Our sister camp of the New York and New England area, Na'aleh, will be joining us for the first time in years at our upcoming Fall Seminar. We are very excited to join forces with the Na'aleh Rashei Eizor Jessie Karsif and Dara Silbermann for fun, excitement and a summer reunion! We will run some peulot (activities) separately, L'fi eizor, but some, like Rikud, Havdalah, and Kef peulah, will be together!

This means that there will be a large contingency of chanichim coming from the New York area this year, and there will be a full-fledged bus to boot.

The bus leaves on Friday at 4:30 pm and arrives on Sunday at around 12:45 pm.

The bus will leave from/ arrive at:

Habonim Dror Central Office
114 West 26th St., Suite 1004
New York, NY 10001

(between 6th and 7th avenues)

For emergencies regarding the bus, you can contact Jessie Karsif, Na'aleh Rosh Eizor at 203.736.3446

4. Tzevet Bios:
We included these bios in the last email, but we wanted to make sure we started the year off knowing who’s who:

He worked at Galil this summer, as well as in the Eizor last year. He is stepping in as co-Rosh Eizor along with Shira Laurence this year and is extremely excited about taking on a new kind
of leadership role and helping out Galil. He also enjoys poetry, sociology, and home-cooked meals.
Rosheizor@gmail.com

Shira Laurence started attending Galil in Bonim and has been involved in the Ken Eizor for many years, first as a camper (chanicha) and than as a counselor (madricha). She graduated from Central in 2006, spent a year on program based in Israel traveling to various global hot-spots and is now taking a semester off from the University of Pennsylvania to work and volunteer. She is very excited to watch this year unfold! Rosheizor@gmail.com

Adi Inbar is the Youth & Habonim-Dror shlicha in the Jewish community of Greater Philadelphia. registration form at http://tinyurl.com/ysyrrx. Please COPY and PASTE this link into a new window.
The Correct Drop-off times for Sunday, October 14:

Self-Service: 9:00 am
We regret the error and apologize for any inconvenience caused. We look
forward to seeing you all at Fall Seminar.

Dear Eizor Galil,

We hope you are not too disappointed with the Shabbat Dinner cancellation last Friday night. When it comes to our activities, we would rather you miss one and come to the rest instead of getting seriously injured slipping and sliding through snow. :)

In any case, the Bogrim had an amazing experience this past week in Washington, DC on PANIM's Jewish Civics Initiative seminar! They learned about different forms of service opportunities and had time on Capitol Hill in which they lobbied their representatives. Everyone agrees it was well worth it. For pictures, see here:
