2. Ken Rikud!!!
Do you like Israeli dancing? Do you like Israelis who dance? Or do you just like people shaking their booties? Then this is for you!
Thee is a great weekly session in our area where we can all come together to enjoy what we do best. Don Schillinger, aka Dan Rakdan, runs an amazing program every Thursday at Adath Israel, bringing dancers of all ages together for one night of amazing fun and excitement.
We are officially designating every last Thursday of the month as Ken Rikud.
Join us in dancing evenings away with the same old Eizor Galil energy.
With a good Galil crowd, Dan will make sure to play some of our favorites - as well as teach new ones. While we're be there, dances will be primarily lines and circles.
Here are the details:
WHO: Parents and chanichim
WHEN: Every last Thursday of the month from 7-9 PM
WHERE: Adath Israel- 250 N. Highland Ave., Merion, PA 19066
Our first Ken Rikud will be held on Thursday, October 25. GET PUMPED!

4. Tzevet Bios:
We included these bios in the last email, but we wanted to make sure we started the year off knowing who’s who:
Adam Mayer is a sophomore at Haverford College in Haverford, PA. He grew up at machaneh Gilboa (in California) and is a proud member of Workshop 55. He worked at Galil this summer, as well as in the Eizor last year. He is stepping in as co-Rosh Eizor along with Shira Laurence this year and is extremely excited about taking on a new kind
of leadership role and helping out Galil. He also enjoys poetry, sociology, and home-cooked meals.
Rosheizor@gmail.com
Shira Laurence started attending Galil in Bonim and has been involved in the Ken Eizor for many years, first as a camper (chanicha) and than as a counselor (madricha). She graduated from Central in 2006, spent a year on program based in Israel traveling to various global hot-spots and is now taking a semester off from the University of Pennsylvania to work and volunteer. She is very excited to watch this year unfold! Rosheizor@gmail.com
Adi Inbar is the Youth & Habonim-Dror shlicha in the Jewish community of Greater Philadelphia. With an extensive background in in-formal education and youth work, and after two summers as a Mazkirut member in Galil and a year in the Eizor, she truly looks forward yet another year of the great community that is Galil & Habonim-Dror.
