1. Ken Rikud every last Thursday of the month!
PARENTS AND CHANICHIM!!!!
Do you like Israeli dancing? Do you like Israelis who dance? Or do you just like people shaking their booties? Then this is for you!
We would like to invite all of Eizor Galil to participate in a new concept to us: Ken Rikud. For all those rakdans who love Israeli dancing there is a great weekly session in our area that we can all come together to enjoy what we do best. Don Schillinger, aka Dan Rakdan, runs an amazing program every Thursday at Adath Israel, bringing dancers of all ages together for one night of amazing fun and excitement.
With that in mind, we are officially designating every last Thursday of the month as Ken Rikud. We are going to head over to the Main Line to join Don and bringing the energy that only Eizor Galil has. In fact, with a good Galil crowd, he will make sure play some of our favorites - as well as teach new ones. While we're be there, dances will be primarily lines and circles.

2. Peulat Shichvah on Sunday, February 25 at the Germantown Jewish Centre
For our next round of peulat shichva we will be hosted at the Germantown Jewish Centre! All of the schavot will be having peulot around the same time in the afternoon and everything should finish around 5:00 PM.
The GJC is located at 400 West Ellet St., Philadelphia, PA 19119

3. PuriMifgash on March 2-4
Bogrim, Post-MBI, and Post-Madatzim - get PUMPED to see your fellow kvutzah-mates from Mosh and Na'aleh because PURIMIFGASH 2007 is almost here! The weekend of March 2-4, Galil, Na'aleh, and Moshava will be descending on the Pearlstone Conference Center in Reisterstown, MD for a weekend of fun-filled hadracha adventures!
The bus down from Philadelphia will be leaving the Knesset Israel Synagogue (8339 Old York Rd., Elkins Park, PA 19027). We will let you know soon exactly WHEN it is leaving.

4. Shabbat Dinners and Rikud on March 16. Would you like to host?
Eizor Galil is organizing separate Shabbat Dinners in the Cheltenham area for the Amelim-Sayarim and one for the Tzofim-Bonim. Parents and chanichim are invited together! After dinner, we may also be able to spend the night dancing away, Galil-style (We mean rikud!)

6. Parents - Want to volunteer for J-SERVE, the annual Jewish teen day of service?
On Sunday, April 22, between 12:00-5:00 PM, the culmination of months of work will come together for J-SERVE, the annual Jewish teen day of service. Five members of Habonim Dror Eizor Galil have been working feverishly to create a meaningful program around the Philadelphia area. 7. Jewish College Campus Tour: Including time at the College Park Bayit!
Curious about what Jewish activities go on during college? Great! Habonim Dror is co-sponsoring the Community Youth Initiative's Mid-Atlantic College Tour this year. 8. What did you say? Scholarships for Israel?
If your child is planning on being in Israel for any amount of time, there are many scholarships available. In Philadelphia, the Jewish Federation offers various programs, including the Passport to Israel program, that will match certain amounts of money committed towards future trips. Also, if your child is interested in long term programs in Israel (like Workshop), there is a fund called MASA that has been created to provide scholarships for travel. 1. February 11th: JRA Food Packing AND Super Sunday
Remember all the great times you had last November when Eizor Galil joined Jewish groups from around the Philadelphia region to help the Jewish Relief Agency pack food for hungry families? Well, you can duplicate that fun this February 11th when we return to working with them again! As before, we will be making food packages and delivering them to families in need who live in the Northeast Philadelphia region. The day will be begin at 10 AM and finish after all the packages are delivered. For directions to the JRA, please click on the following link:

Eizor Galil will also be participating in the Jewish Federation's annual Super Sunday event! Every year the Jewish Federation supports Eizor Galil with simple technical things like flyers and photocopying all the way to grants and scholarships. Come help the Federation by making phone calls to Jewish families across the Philadelphia region and asking for their support.

If you are Bogrim and up, including pre-Workshoppers (10-12 grades) you are invited to a weekend seminar on hadracha and how to use it. Held at the luxurious Pearlstone Center outside of Baltimore over the March 2-4 weekend, it is going to be an amazing experience for all. Sign up now!
