REGISTRATION OPEN FOR HANUKAH SLEEPOVER

The registration website has now opened for the Eizor Galil Hanukah Sleepover. The Sleepover will be held from 8 PM on Saturday, December 8 until 8 AM Sunday, December 9 at the JCC Kaiserman.

The cost of the sleepover is $15.

About the Mazkirut (administration) of Eizor Galil

Ron Alter was born and raised in Israel, growing up in Kibbutz Ashdot Ya'akov Icud,in the rural area of the Jordan Valley. Ron was a member of the Hanoar Ha'oved V'Halomed (Habonim-Dror's sister movement in Israel) since 4th grade, and has many years of youth movement leadership and coordination experience. Ron has worked for the Jewish Agency for Israel for the past 7 years including a summer camp shlichut to the US (2 years of which was at HDNA Camp Na'aleh) and a few short term missions around the world with different Jewish communities.

This is Ben Profeta's fourth year as Rosh Eizor Galil, and his fourth year working in the Ken. He is currently a senior at Temple University and just finished a summer as the Chinuch (educational director) at Camp Galil. A native Galilnik and Philadelphian, Ben has been going to Machaneh (hebrew for 'camp') for umpteen years now and attended Workshop 54 after high school.

Nora Chong, the other Philadelphia native on the Mazkirut, just got back from her own Workshop, number 57, and is now starting her freshman year at Bryn Mawr College. Nora spent this past summer working with the Sayarim (the current 7th graders) at Galil.

Finally, Josh Marantz spent 3 years at Camp Galil (in addition to one that he spent on MBI, Habonim's Israel summer program) before leaving after madatz to go work at Na'aleh in the summers of '07 and '08. In between these two summers he attended Workshop 57 with Nora, where the two lived in the same kvutza in the Israeli-Arab city of Akko. Josh is starting this year at Drexel University as an engineering student, and enjoys doing Israeli Folk Dancing whenever he has a free weeknight. (You can all come too!)
